Activities of particular interest to the community begin with the jersey auction Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7 pm in the commercial building north of Clover Hall at the fairgrounds in Jefferson. A bonfire/pep rally will follow the jersey auction at about 8:30 pm.
Events on Friday, Sept. 23, will begin with another pep rally at Linduska Field at 1 pm. Floats for the homecoming parade will begin lining up at 1:30 pm in the gravel parking lot north of the football field. Area businesses and community organizations are invited to be part of the parade. Call the high school for information.
The parade will step off at 2 pm and will travel north on Chestnut St to State Street, west one block along the north side of the courthouse square, and then south one block of Wilson before it disbands near the bell tower. Coronation of the queen and king will follow the parade at the courthouse.
